I Pods have their own calendars. You can try though Microsoft Sync. Download (should say upload) sync Icon, and then try it with your ipod after you have installed the Microsoft sync center. Good Luck

I heard Google Calendar was down earlier today. How does it affect my phone?

I have a Motorola Droid. Does anybody know if the information is still accessible on one’s phone even while the Google Calendar website is down?

Most of the time yes, the calendar website runs a huge database that keeps the calendar, and that database is distributed over multiple servers. If the webpage that runs the calendar site is down does not mean the servers that runs the database is down, and you would still have access to your information.

I want to sync my two Google Calendars with my Blackberry Curve 8330. I have seen this G-Sync App but I do NOT want to sync my contacts. Is there a way to JUST sync the calendar application only, and make it so it is bi-directional?

You absolutely can!

Just open the google sync application, click the menu button, click on options, and uncheck “Sync Contacts”. The application always syncs both ways.

What virgin mobile phone can sync to outlook or google calendar?

I’ve been using a Blackberry 8220, but want to switch networks. Are there other phones besides Blackberry curve that will auto sync to google or outlook calendar?

Possibly the newly offered Samsung Intercept, but when I asked the Outlook calendar question to VM about a month ago (before the Intercept was offered), I received a reply two weeks later telling me that none of their phones could sync with an Outlook calendar. I don’t have a Google calendar, so I didn’t ask about that. For each phone on the VM site, you could go to the “Ask and Answer” tab and put in “Google calendar.” It’s possible that someone already asked the question about the Google calendar.

If you’re on the hunt for souvenirs then the markets full of handicrafts or the alpaca knitwear and jewelry boutiques are there depending on your budget. If you want to experience the local shopping experience, head to Calle Santa Clara for the market of San Pedro.

And, of course, like any other spot in Peru Cusco is brilliant for Andean and hearty Peruvian dishes that come either as fusion or with an international creativity. Be sure to try classic plates like lomo saltado, Andean steak stir-fry, or chicharron, juicy hunks of fried pork with corn and mint salad – one of the big joys of taking Latin America vacations! Big restaurants aimed at tourists offer buffets and ala carte Peruvian specials, like guinea pig or alpaca, plus basic meats, pastas, soups and salads. All types of lodgings are available, from the luxurious and historic Hotel Monasterio, $400-$2000 USD per night for double occupancy on the Plaza Nazarenas, to the no-frills backpacker haven Hostel La Estrellita, 15 Soles per person per night on Calle Tullumayo. In between, find rooms at a variety of prices points and flavors, from hippie casual to colonial charm, mostly around the historic center of town.

Getting There

Almost all travelers enter Peru through the international airport in Lima. So, in order to get to Cusco, you can either take an all-night bus or hope on a one hour plane for around $150 (return). Fare on the cushiest bus company, Cruz del Sur is $140 USD round-trip. Cheaper fares on reasonably comfortable buses can be hunted down at the bus terminals in Cusco or Lima. November to March is the rainy season and if you go at this time, while you’ll get wet you will also find discounts and less tourists.
