Cuba is an attractive vacation destination for many people, as it has all of the amenities you would ever want a vacation spot to have. You can sign up for Cuba vacations with last minute vacations or other types of vacation packages with your travel agent. Cuba is a tropical island that boasts warm temperatures all year round, and is an ideal spot for winter travel. Cuba vacations allow you to get out of the cold and enjoy the sun and heat like any other tropical destination. As with travel to any other foreign destination, it’s wise to learn all you can about the country and follow certain tips when going on Cuba vacations.

Since the weather for Cuba vacations is going to be warm regardless of when you go, it’s wise to pack mainly summer-type clothes. Your resort, restaurants and other buildings may be air conditioned, so if you plan on spending any amount of time indoors, a couple pairs of long pants may be a good idea. Take a look at your vacation package and try to estimate what types of activities you’ll be doing so you can include any extra items you might need. Obviously, sunscreen and a hat with a brim are always good to bring on Cuba vacations.

If you plan on bringing any electrical appliances like dryers, curling irons or clocks on your Cuba vacations, check with your travel agent to see if you need an adapter of some sort. This type of information may or may not be covered in the literature of vacation packages. Cuba is on Eastern Standard Time. There is a list of prohibited items that you are not allowed to bring into the country that you should familiarize yourself with before leaving on Cuba vacations. Obvious items like weapons or explosives are prohibited, as are certain types of written literature and other items. Most items that you would bring on a regular vacation are fine to bring into Cuba, but it’s always wise to check through your vacation package information or with your agent to be certain.

A valid passport is also required to get in and out of the country, the same as with any other foreign vacation. When you’re leaving Cuba, you may be charged a departure tax at the airport, which is another expense you should ask about before you go. You will have to obtain permits or other permissions to take antiques or art out of the country. If you choose to travel outside your resort on Cuba vacations, you can rent vans and motorcycles, or use a taxi or tour bus.

Cuba vacation packages are a major source of income for the country, so it is usually quite safe. Taking precautions to guard against pickpockets or other thieves like you would anywhere else is generally enough to stay safe. You don’t have to be vaccinated for Cuba vacations, and many of the hotels and resorts have nurses and health care services should you need help. You can also drink the tap water, but when in a tropical country it’s always wise to stick to the bottled variety whenever possible.

Are you planning to spend your holidays to Egypt? If yes, you have made an excellent decision! Egypt it the land of pharaohs and sands, a mythical place locked in time. It is one of the world’s most visited countries, and tourists flock from all over the world to take a look at the Sphinx, the River Nile, the Great Pyramids, and other wonders.

However, you need to remember that you are in a another country. Here are a few handy, practical tips to make your holidays to Egypt a memorable one.

* If you need to take a taxi, it is best to ask the concierge or the reception of your hotel to get you one. That’s because your hotel will often have assigned taxis that they trust and know very well. It will be an adventure if you take a taxi elsewhere, however, you need to know the taxi rates beforehand to be on the safe side.

* Keep in mind that Egypt is a Muslim country. Things that you consider normal such as kissing or holding hands with your partner, wearing sleeveless clothes, and taking photos of religious places may be frowned upon. Therefore, always keep a conscious effort to respect their faith.

*Do not rely solely on guide books to get around and experience the culture. Even if they provide a lot of information, they do not tell you how to get out of problems. In addition, you may get disappointed at seeing or visiting actual sites that are described beautifully in guide books. It is best to ask locals and other travelers for recommendations and information and consider the information in guide books as supplementary.

* If you are driving a rented vehicle during your holidays to Egypt, you have to stay right. For UK and Japanese travelers, they need to be conscious since they are used to driving on the left side of the road. In Cairo, you have to be extra careful since traffic is a whole lot busier in the capital city than in other Egyptian cities.

* Egypt is a hot country since it is located in the Sahara Desert. Therefore, take precautions to combat the heat. Drink a lot of water to rehydrate yourself. Put on loose fitting clothes, trousers, hat, and sunglasses.

It is inside and takes passengers shooting through a cobra roll and sidewinder, as well as a corkscrew. And there are many other twists along the way. The coolest part is that the ride is in almost pitch black. So you do not know what is about to happen. This is one of those rides you may have trouble screaming because you have no air left in your lungs!

One of the exciting additions to the Richmond, VA park is called the Dominator. Opened in 2008, this coaster has broken two world records. Riders are on the biggest, floorless steel coaster at 4210 feet in length. Also, riders experience the planet’s biggest vertical loop, and going at speeds as high as 65 mph If you are hot and sweaty after all this excitement, you can take a break at Waterworks. Tidal Wave Bay is a huge swimming pool with several water slides. Also, try the Night Rider, which is the largest in-the-dark tube slide in the world.

Another big attraction at Kings Dominion for the kids is Nickelodeon Central. This is where your kids can get a hug from some of their favorite TV characters. Also, they have a chance to ride the kiddie roller coasters. The live character shows are a lot of fun for parents and the children. And always remember the more than 30 restaurants that will fill the bellies of everyone in your family.
